At NWA
Irelands Live Event in Bray this past Sunday 27th of August Paul Tracey brought more Gold to

to NWA Ireland/UK at the earliest possibility and he has done just that. Tracey commented
after the match - 'Justin is definatly a worthy champion and a credit to himself and NWA

NWA UK/Ireland Star Fergal Devitt's Success Continues
NWA Irelands Fergal Devitt continues to be
successful in Japan with NJPW, most recently being successful this past Thursday in tag team
action in front of 8000 fans with tag team partner Yujiro.
Fergal is scheduled to appear on one of NJPW's biggest shows of the year
this coming Sunday - it is a PPV in Tokyo with the Main Event being the final of NJPW's G1
Climax 2006 Tournament. Fergal is scheduled to be in tag team action on the show with his
partner Minoro.
All of us here at NWA UK/ Ireland are supporting Fergal as he continues
to prove that NWA UK/Irelands style of wrestling is successful at the highest level.
NWA Ireland Representatives At Recent NWA UK Summer
Training Camp
Three
of NWA Irelands young up and coming talents returned to Ireland recently from a weeks
intensive training at NWA-UK Hammerlocks Summer Camp in Ashford, Kent in the UK.
Enda Cassidy, Gary Cassidy and Winston Douglas Hawksworth all impressed
NWA-UK coaches and all three took gradings in Shoot Style Ring Wrestling and did very well.
They have been invited to make their NWA-UK debuts this coming October.
All at NWA Ireland are proud of them and look forward to seeing them
progress as their wrestling careers begin to take off.

Devitt will return to NWA Ireland on September 19th. Devitt will return to lead the promotion
for a two week period before returning to Japan. Fergal will be involved in NWA Ireland Live

Tracey and Devitt are in constant contact but have not seen each other
since June. They will unfortunately miss each other by one day in September. They are however,
both scheduled to be back in Ireland in December so there is a possibility that the self
proclaimed 'Greatest Irish Tag Team' will be re-united in an NWA Ireland Ring before the end

NWA Hammerlock Star Tours Norway
Hammerlocks own spiritual advisor the Scottish monster Conscience will be heading out to
Oslo in Norway for a 4 day tour while there he will be competing for the Norwegian wrestling
federation in front of their usual sold out crowds since his change in appearance and attitude
conscience seems refocused and is ready to take on the Norwegians on home soil before heading
off to Holland next month and sending a message across Europe that the only thing worse than
an angry Scottish monster is an angry Scottish monster that was trained by hammerlock.

More On Fergal Devitt's US Tour
Picking up from where he
left off in October, November proved to be an even busier month for Fergal
Devitt and he battled up and down the
New England area for a number of different
promotions.
Devitt kicked off November in fine fashion for MWF (Millennium Wrestling
Federation) in a stellar outing against Eddie Edwards (Pro Wrestling NOAH)
and John Walters (Ring of Honor) in a triple treat for the MWF TV Title.
In 15 minutes of back and forth action, Edwards pined Walters for the win.
Following this performance, Devitt’s profile rose and he entered a series
of matches widely accepted as among the finest of the year. Battling
Walters is a hard hitting roller coaster of a match for Chaotic Wrestling,
Edwards in a mat based technical masterpiece for DPW (Defiant Pro
Wrestling) and Luis Ortiz in a highflying mid-air clash for MWF.
More outings for RCW (Revial Championship Wrestling) and WFA (Wrestling
Federation of
America) against Reaper and
Scoot Reed respectfully left fans (and both opponents) with a taste of how
Devitt put it, 'How we do things in NWA
IRELAND’. Say no more.
In another outing at MWF, opponent Osiris fell victim to Devitt's now
trademark leg-bar, which has been applied out of the blue from many angles
on countless opponents.
Next for Devitt came NEW
JAPAN
PRO WRESTLING.
After seeing Devitt's consistent in ring performances, an invitation was
sent for him to come train at the NJPW Dojo in L.A, Spending almost 4
weeks from November 21st to December 15th, Devitt trained 6 days a week
along side and under some of the best in wrestling today. Training under
Kendo Kash along side the likes of Black Tiger and Daniel Pruder, Devitt
advanced in all classes, including not only pro wrestling but also
kickboxing, ju jitsu and even yoga. Another class enjoyed by the students
at the dojo was Friday morning bodybuilding class with professional
bodybuilder and coach Ken Yasuda.
Making such a good showing of himself, the staff the NJPW Dojo extended
another invitation to Devitt to return to the Dojo, for their now twice
weekly shows and further training. Devitt will return to LA on Jan 20th
2006.
Eddie
Guerrero 1967 - 2005.
The National Wrestling
Alliance mourns the loss of Pro
Wrestling Superstar Eddie Guerrero. Everyone associated with our
organisation will keep The Guerrero Family in our thoughts and prayers.
All of us here at NWA-UK Hammerlock are truly saddened by this tragic loss
to the wrestling business.
Eddie
Guerrero - 1967 - 2005. Rest In Peace
A couple of weeks in the life of Fergal Devitt
Amongst many of the NWA UK/Ireland Hammerlock stars making a good name for
themselves on the international scene is Irelands Fergal Devitt who is
presently on a three month non-stop tour of America, below is a report
covering the first two weeks of his tour, more to follow soon from Fergal
and others including reports from Rebecca Knox who is currently touring
America and Japan.
Sept 24th - NECW TV.
Pawtucket,
RI.
In a match which was referred to as 'the best in NECW TV
history', Devitt made his debut in winning fashion by defeating K.L Murphy
when he countered a sunset flip pff the top rope for the pin.
Sept 25th - NECW.
Somerville,
MA.
Forming a tag team with fellow Irish man Joe Cabray,
Devitt took on the team of Tim Dillon (UK)
and Ricky Reyes (ROH). Devitt and Cabray proved too strong and following a
top rope double stomp by Devitt on Dillon the Irish duo took the pinfall
for the victory.
Sept 30th - Slamtech Wrestling.
Seekonk,
MA.
Devitt took on Bob Evans, an opponent be would become
accustomed to competing against. Following a very technical battle of wits
and skills, Devitt forced Evans into submission with a leg bar.
Oct 6th - NWA 57th Convention.
Nashville,
TN.
After traveling to Nashville to meet the rest of the NWA
Ireland team, Devitt once again paired with Paul Tracey to defeat the team
of Sean 'Maxer' Brennan and Phil 'The Thrill' Boyd in a match that could
only be described as an example of how things are done in NWA Ireland.
Oct 8th - NWA 57th Convention.
Nashville,
TN.
Following months of build up and verbal assaults by both
parties, it was finally time to settle the score once and for all as
Devitt took on NWA Quebec’s Dru Onyx for the NWA British Commonwealth
Title. Following almost 10 minutes of back and forth action, of which
Devitt said was among one of his toughest battles to date, Onyx tapped out
to a cross arm bar applied by Devitt from a standing position. Following
the match, both combatants, with a new found respect for each other shook
hands in the middle of the ring.
October 14th - NECW.
Framingham,
MA.
A late entrant into the NECW annual Iron 8 Tournament,
Devitt took on NECW regular Joe Chese in a match where both men would
throw everything at each other to come out on top. Devitt suffered his
first defeat of his tour when Chese countered a German supplex and hit his
patented Chese power slam for a close 3 count.
Oct 15th - NECW.
Framingham,
MA.
After receiving late confirmation that the NWA would
sanction a NWA British Commonwealth Title match, Devitt would put the
title up against 'The Epic' Mike Bennett (managed by Alex Crowley). Devitt
overcame Bennett and interference from
Crowley to hit his Devitt-End supplex
for the pinball.
Oct 22nd - NWA
Virginia.
Roanoke,
VA.
Devitt again put the title on the line against the NWA
Virginia Alpha Champion Brandon Day. This back and forth match could have
went either way, but when Devitt avoided Days attempt to use his Alpha
title as a weapon, and followed up with his over head bicycle kick, he
scored the 3 count and the victory.
Oct 27th - NECW.
Somerville,
MA.
Devitt would meet Bob Evans once again in a match that was
referred to as 'a wrestling lesson'. With the title on the line Devitt and
Evans kept this one on the mat, with Devitt retaining his title forcing
the submission again with a leg bar. Both men received a standing ovation
and agreed to go at it one more time the following night.
Oct 28th - Slamtech Wrestling.
Seekonk,
MA.
Devitt again put his title on the line in the 3rd part of
the Devitt vs. Evans Trilogy. This time, contested under European Rules of
6 rounds of 3 minutes, with 2 falls, 2 submissions or a knockout to
determine the finish. Devitt won 2 falls to 1 in the 5th round again using
the leg bar to win his second fall of the match.
Oct 29th - NECW.
Plainfield,
CT.
Defending his title against all comers, Devitt put the NWA
British Commonwealth Title on the line again
against NECW monster Michael Sain. This hard hitting match saw Devitt
first out wrestle Sain but then saw Sain dominate Sain for long spells.
With nearly 20 minutes on the clock, Devitt countered a choke slam attempt
and rolled up Sain for the win.
SEEK 'N' DESTROY RETURN AND IRISH TAG CHAMPS
MAKE MEGA IMPACT!
NWA Ireland Tag Team
Champions Team Mega were on hand at NWA-UK Hammerlocks Live Event
Friday Night, November 11th in Grays,
Essex in the
UK. They were both entered as
singles wrestlers in a King of the Ring tournament. However the tournament
ending took an unexpected twist as you will find out as you read their
results and happenings below.
King of the Ring - Round 1:
Danny Butler pinned JP Monroe with a spine-buster, then got hit with a ddt
by JP's manager Jezebel post match. Justin Bred pinned Zack Sabre Junior
following his 'Clean Liffey Plunge' finishing move, in a tightly contested
match.
King of the Ring Semi-Finals:
Danny Butler beat Tony McMillan of Seek 'n' Destroy with a
Boston Crab. Justin Bred beat Exodus
with help from Danny Butler.
While Team Mega were doing an in-ring promo refusing to go up against each
other in the tournament final and declaring themselves joint winners of
the King of the Ring Tournament, they were interrupted by the returning
home town hero’s Tony and Dave McMillan, better known to NWA-UK Hammerlock
fans as 'Seek 'n' Destroy'. They proposed the final match of the
tournament be a non-title tag team match with Team Mega facing Seek 'n'
Destroy.
In the final match, Seek 'n' Destroy once again showed their in-ring
stiffness and power and defeated Team Mega by pin fall. The Irish team
were then forced to agree to the stipulation that if they are still NWA
Ireland Tag Team Champions when NWA-UK Hammerlock returns to the Civic
Hall in Grays, Essex that they must defend their titles against Seek 'n'
Destroy.
IRISH
IMPACT ONCE AGAIN THIS TIME AT THE TAP 'N' TIN.
At Hammerlock's last show
at the Tap N Tin on Wednesday 16th November, a four man tournament
involved travelling NWA IRELAND stars 'Juvenile Delinquent' Keith Loughman,
who took on JP Monroe in the first round, and Keith’s tag team partner and
fellow Finglas Hooligan 'Thunderkid' Robbie Morrissey, who battled
Danny Williams, and although both coming up short in their singles
matches, both made a great impression, and Hammerlock looks forward to
seeing them compete in the NWA-UK ring very soon. Danny Williams defeated
JP Monroe won the final of the tournament, after hitting a picture perfect
moonsault.
This led us to the much anticipated Strap match for the NO1 contendership
to the NWA-UK Heavyweight Championship. Champion Johnny Moss had set the
challenge of fighting a mystery opponent for Jon Ryan to earn the right
for a title shot. And boy did Jon Ryan have his work cut out, when his
mystery opponent turned out to be none other than monster HUGH MUNGUS. A
battle from the start, with the strap's obvious use as a weapon not being
ignored, Jon Ryan some how managed to overcome the might of Hugh Mungus
and pick up the victory. This meaning that at Hammerlock's next show at
the tap n tin, Johnny Moss will have to defend his title against the 'Bad
Boy of British Wrestling' Jon Ryan.
The Main event of the show, was the much anticipated NWA-UK Junior
Heavyweight title match between new Champion Zack Sabre Jr making his
first defence against the "Rudeboy" Peter Jay. A match not without
history; not only had Peter Jay sneaked up from behind and beat down on
Zack and Jimmy Havoc back in September, after both men had just fought
over 30 mins in a 4 way elimination match, he and tag team partner Danny
Williams last month in October, were seconds away from being defeated,
they resorted to cheating to pick up the win, and further add insult to
Zack Sabre Jnr and Jimmy Havoc. But back to the match. A highly heated and
emotionally charged contest, the match went back and forth until Peter Jay
was able to catch Zack with a highly dangerous top rope belly to belly
supplex, attempting the same manoeuvre again, but this time Sabre Jnr
outsmarted the "Rudeboy" and caught him with a second rope "Sabre Driver",
moments away from the 3 count, Danny Williams entered the ring and
proceeded to stomp the hell out of Zack causing the match to be declared a
Non Contest. After the continuing beat down, injured Jimmy Havoc made his
way to ring sending Danny and Peter over op rope. Zack Sabre Jnr retained
his title, and you can be sure that this feud is definitely not quite over
yet.
Youngest
Ever NWA-UK Champion crowned in
Whitehaven,
Cumbria
Saturday 22nd October 2005
not only saw a very successful show in Cumbria it also saw Hammerlock
crown a new NWA-UK Junior Heavyweight Champion in front of the packed
crowd.
Eighteen year
old Zack Sabre Jnr defeated the SWA's Falcon in a fine match up. A closely
contested match, Sabre Jnr stepped up a notch with a flurry of vicious
forearms, a release German suplex and a 'Sabre Driver' to pick up the win.
Zack who started his Hammerlock training at the young age of 14 has spent
the last four years learning everything he can from the Hammerlock
training school in Kent, after the show Zack was over the moon and
honoured to become champion, and said that he cannot wait to defend it.
Zack will make his first title defence at the Tap 'N' Tin on the 17th
November against "Rudeboy" Peter Jay.
In other
News from the Recent show in Cumbria
The I.W.F showcased what they have to offer in a challenge match involving

that match.
S.W.A made their presence felt on the show, many of the Stars making

Conscience.
And in the main event, Local Heroes and Johnny Moss & Stefan Walofski
defeated NWA
Ireland champion Paddy Morrow

of their building.
The fans who were fully behind Moss and
Walsofski stormed the ring to celebrate with the Winners in grand style, a
fitting end to a successful show.
New NWA
UK
Heavyweight Champion In Title V Title Match in
Nashville,
TN,
USA
At NWA Irelands Live Event
in Kilcoole, Co.
Wicklow,
Ireland on Friday
September 30th Paul Tracey pinned ‘Vigilante’ Johnny Moss to become NWA-UK
Hammerlock Heavyweight Champion for the second time in his career. After a
technical and hard fought match Moss attempted a sunset flip from the
apron back into the ring over Tracey, who dropped to the canvas, hooked
Moss’ legs and scored the pinfall to take the title.
The NWA-UK Hammerlock Office had announced that whoever won this match
would go to
Nashville next week to represent NWA-UK
Hammerlock at the 57th NWA Anniversary Shows and Convention is
Nashville,
Tennessee.
Tracey’s first defence of the title will therefore be next Saturday Night
at the Tennessee State Fairgrounds Sports Arena in Nashville in a Title V
Title Match when NWA-UK Hammerlock Champion Paul Tracey takes on NWA
Ireland Champion Paddy ‘Suicide Machine’ Morrow with the winner taking
both titles. This match promises to be a cracker and both Tracey and
Morrow are looking forward to bringing the technical and hard hitting
Hammerlock style of wrestling to the
USA once again.
Does the whole world hate the Bad Boy?
NWA-UK’s Jon Ryan is now not only probably the most hated wrestler in the
UK, he has managed to upset the citizens of Sanford, Florida as well. The
Bad Boy of British Wrestling made his debut for the Florida-based Pro
Wrestling Warfare (PWWF) on Friday 26th August at the
Sanford Civic Centre.
Ryan took on NWA-TNA X-Division superstar, Mikey Batts, in
a transatlantic clash which left the crowd baying for the blood of the Bad
Boy. Ryan showed his characteristic mean streak, and had the crowd in a
fury, willing Batts to overcome the visitor. Batts eventually prevailed,
and pinned Ryan with the Batts Beater for the victory.
Jon Ryan has vowed to return to the States early next year
to take out his frustrations at losing to “that useless Yank” on any and
all Americans who will take him on.

Johnny Moss invited to Train At The Renowned New Japan Dojo
NWA UK Heavyweight champion Johnny Moss is set to fly out to New Japan Pro
Wrestling's US training facility in Santa Monica in the very near future,
Moss has an open invitation to train at the legendary dojo at a date
convenient to his ever increasing hectic schedule, Moss hopes to stay and
train with the N.J.P.W team for around one month during which time he will
be taking part in the hard daily training regime.
The invitation came about after Hammerlock's
Andre Baker contacted N.J.P.W's Simon Inoki on behalf of Moss. Johnny Moss
has asked us to make his appreciation known to Mr Baker & Mr Inoki, he
said "I am very grateful to both Mr Inoki & Mr Baker for the part they
have both played in making this tremendous opportunity possible for me, I
knew that Mr Inoki & Mr Baker have previously had business dealings
together on a good few occasions and because of this I was confident that
they would be able to work something out for me".
Welcome Back To More of Our Established
Wrestlers
In addition to Segun Carter returning to Hammerlock rings recently we are
also pleased to welcome back to action even more of our established stars
in the shape of the ever popular Mike Mendoza, the flamboyant Kassius and
the rule breaking Danny Garnell.
All the above mentioned wrestler performed
well in their recent matches proving that they had not lost their touch
during the absence, there is talk of a return to action at Hammerlock for
several other of our established stars including the masked Technico and
some others that we can not name as of yet but a World Heavyweight
surprise could be in store.
Globe Trotting Segun Carter Returns To Target
UK
Champion
After over a year and a half of injury and rehabilitation Segun’s doctors
and specialists have finally given the go ahead to return to the ring. Mid
2003 Carter had just successfully completed a tour of
Australia and
Fiji, shortly after returning
he participated in matches for NWA
Ireland. On returning to
compete in the
UK Segun was quickly rushed to
hospital with a rupturing appendix where he was immediately operated on.
Carter was due to return to the ring eight weeks after the operation,
however this just wasn’t to be as a string of injuries including a
reoccurring back problem kept Carter sidelined. He did however participate
in two ladder matches in early 2004 answering the challenges of Psycho
Steve and Paul Vault, although Carter gave a good account of himself but
his performance and ability in these matches confirmed the injuries where
still hindering him and he would not be in a position to return to the
ring until these problems were completely resolved.
Carter is now said to be in great shape and more than ready to return with
his full attention focused on the NWA UK heavyweight champion, Johnny
Moss. He does however realise he has got a long hard fight ahead of him to
earn his shot but is welcoming the challenge.

Hammerlock's Travelling Training Camps a Great Success
Hammerlock wrestling has recently held two day training camps in
conjunction with NWA
Ireland, MPW and The IWF. The
training camps were a huge success, and all 3 promotions have asked for
Andre Baker to return to repeat the success of the camps.
Andre Baker was the Head Coach for the three
camps and was assisted by NWA
Ireland Trainers Paul Tracey
and Fergal Devitt. Similarly In
Coventry Majik and Psycho Steve were
standing by to lend a hand, and during the weekend with the IWF NWA-UK
Heavyweight Champion Johnny Moss was there to assist Andre at the camp.
Zack Sabre Jnr was also on hand during the camps to assist Andre.
During the camps the trainees were taken right through from basic
bumping skills, and exercises designed to help safe bumping, ring
positioning and timing. Andre's 26 years of experience in the wrestling
business enabled him to teach throws and teach a style that can be learnt
from no other trainer in the
UK. His various qualifications
in martial arts gave the trainees an opportunity to learn throws not
regular available in pro wrestling schools such as sombo throws.
Trainees were not only taught new
sequences and moves but also given the chance to perfect their skills
under the watch-full eye of Andre. There was a very large improvement
noticed in all trainees throughout the camps.
As always the Hammerlock teams were keeping
an eye out for any potential talent that could used on future Shows.
Along with the various wrestling skills that were taught over the
weekends, Seminars were given on professionalism, appearance and
character Development, Andre was also available for any Q&A that the
trainees required.
Fitness training and techniques were also
introduced to help the students with their stamina and cardiovascular
fitness. By the end of the training weekends, improvements all round had
been made and all trainees had tightened up their skills and added many
new ones to their repertoire. Obviously with the camps only lasting for
two days Andre wasn't able to teach as much as he would have liked to, but
looks forward to returning to continue and further improve their skills
and wrestling ability. Hammerlock will be staging a two day training camp
at their training school in
Cardiff in the near future and will
travel up the
Scotland to hold a training

NWA UK Hammerlock show:
Cardiff 15th January 2005
The show opened up, as
Johnny Moss entered the ring, sporting an England
football top, somewhat aggravating the Cardiff
crowd. Moss grabbed the house mic and laid down the open challenge for his
NWA UK
Heavyweight Championship. It was Danny Williams who answered the call as he
came out to the ring cheers from the Cardiff
fans. Johnny Moss mocked Danny Williams in the ring, setting up their main
event match for the NWA UK
Championship.
The matches kicked off with the opening round of the 4 man tournament of
which the two winners were to face off in a Lumber Jack match at a later
point in the show. Peter Jay and Cardiff's
own Caiman were first to do battle. This was a hard fought match on both
counts. Both men exchanged suplexes, take downs and much, much more, until
Caiman caught Jay leaping off the top rope and gained the 3 count after
delivering a chokeslam.
Next up was Welsh rookie, Ace Nitro, against, the mysterious, Exodus. This
was a great match that the crowd were really in to. Ace Nitro threw
everything he had at Exodus, including drop kicks, a hurracanranna and much
more, but he came up short and was driven in to the mat by the big man and
pinned for the 3 count.
Up next was the dod collar match. In this match, both men were strapped
together at the neck, the object of the match being to touch all four corners
to gain the victory. Here we saw a hard hitting bout between Kurrupt and Matt
Vaughn. Vaughn got the early advantage, but was soon beaten down as Kurrupt
made use of the strap attctching them together, by whipping the hell out of
Matt Vaughn. Vaughn did manage to gain the upper hand. As he did so, he
returned the favour to Kurrupt by whipping him with the strap. Just as it
looked that Vaughn was about to bag the win, Kurrupt resorted to a low blow
and victory was his, as he tapped all four corners of teh ring.
It was now time for the Lumber Jack match. The lumber jacks were first to
come out to the ring, 3 with Exodus (Peter Jay, Kurrupt and Danny Bond) and 3
with Caiman (Ricky Styrass, Ace Nitro and Matt Vaughn). Exodus and Caiman
exchanged moves in a sea-saw battle during the match. Caiman gained the upper
hand and Exodus was soon to roll to the outside of the ring and seek back up
from his lumber jacks. The action was brought back in to the ring until
Caiman was sent to the outside via a clothesline over the top rope. Exodus'
lumber jacks proceeded to beat down on Caiman as he landed right beside them.
Caimans lumber jacks came to his aid as Exodus watched over them all from the
ring. The action was finally re-stored and back in the ring. Exodus ran the
ropes and was tripped by Ace Nitro. he stumbled and was the driven in to the
mat with a DDT. Caiman then climbed to the top rope and connected with a big
splash, earning him the win, after the referee hit the 3 count.
The next match was the main event for the NWA UK
Heavyweight Championship between Johnny Moss and Danny Williams. The
fans were behind Williams in this match. Right from the start of the match,
the action was there. Johnny Moss slid under the bottom rope and was soon
greeted by Danny Williams as he flipped on to him, over the top rope. The
action was soon brought back on to the inside of the ring and both men
exchanged some good technical wrestling. Moss seemed to be over-powering
Williams, but Williams had speed on his side. Just as it looked as though
Danny Williams was about to gain victory, referee Charlie Fatt got in the way
of a cross-body from the top rope and was squashed with the impact. Danny
tried to help Charlie back up to his feet, but he was out of it. Stand-by
referee, Jonathan Ash, then came out as Williams rolled up Moss, pinning his
shoulders to the mat. The referee counted a close 2, as Moss kicked out.
Williams quickly climbed to the top rope and flipped backwards at Moss with a
moonsault, only to get caught, and practically bent in half, by Johnny Moss
and a vicious submission hold. Danny Williams was quick to tap out and quit
the match, as Johnny Moss retained the NWA UK
Championship.
The show ended with a standing ovation from the fans, as Jonathan Ash, helped
carry Charlie Fatt back to the dressing room.
NWA-UK
Hammerlock October Tour Report Oct 19th-Oct 31st
NWA-UK Hammerlock kicked off
the October 2004 Tour at the Winter Gardens in Margate, Kent on October 19th.
The top two contenders squared off for the vacant NWA-UK Hammerlock
Heavyweight Title in a match that pitted Hugh Mungus against Exodus. The 400
plus pound Hugh Mungus won the title after a gruelling contest and left
Margate
as the new NWA-UK Hammerlock Heavyweight Title. NWA British
Commonwealth Champion ‘Son of Abdullah’ also made a
winning return to the United Kingdom
with a victory over Jon Ryan.
The next night Hammerlock held its debut show at the ‘Tap ‘n’ Tin’ Nightclub
in Chatham. This
was a particularly bloody card with highlights being a six man tag team match
that turned into a six man brawl that spilled all over the club. The main
event pitted Chatham’s
own Matt ‘Devil man’ Neal against ‘Son of Abdullah’ in a non title match.
After a long and violent match ‘Devil man’ upset his Rival to send his
hometown supporters home happy.
Grays in Essex was the next stop on
Thursday October 21. Hugh Magnus retained his NWA-UK Hammerlock Heavyweight
Title. Kurupt and JP Monroe battled each other in a Submission Match. In what
was supposed to be a three on three inter gender match turned into a three on
two handicap match with Danny Williams and Zack Zabre Jnr teaming with
Jezebel against Irelands Paul Tracey and Fergal Devitt (Tracey and Devitt’s
Female partner from Irelands flight had been cancelled earlier in the day). The
Irish Team lost the match. Exodus was victorious in his hometown and Danny
Garnell was also impressive and came close to defeating ‘Son of Abdullah’.
Saturday October 23rd saw us at Andover
Leisure Centre in Hampshire. Hugh Mungus again retained his Title, Paul Vault
was victorious as were the team of Psycho Steve and David Deville in tag team
action. On almost every show on the tour a Last Man Standing Riot Match is
billed and in this match at Andover
a large contingent from NWA-UK
Hammerlocks Welsh
Training School
took part and did well.
The Castle Hall in Hertford was our venue on Monday October 25th. Adam Abz
retained his NWA Ireland
Heavyweight Title with a victory in a Submission Match over Fergal Devitt who
was accompanied by his tag team partner Paul Tracey. ‘Son of Abdullah’
defeated Danny ‘Renegade Angel’ Butler
in an Anything Goes Match. Danny Williams and Chamera defeated JP Monroe and
Jezebel. Justin Bred got the better of Exodus in the opening match but Exodus
got the last laugh as he was victorious in the Last Man Standing Riot Match.
In the shock of the night Paul Tracey who was accompanied by Fergal Devitt
defeated Hugh Mungus to become the new NWA-UK Hammerlock Heavyweight
Champion.
Tuesday October 26th saw Majik relinquish the NWA-UK Junior Heavyweight
Title. Majik has recently been injured and has been unable to defend the
title. It is rumoured that on his return, that Majik will be making a serious
challenge for the NWA-UK Hammerlock Heavyweight Title. The Hammerlock Office
decided that the NWA-UK Junior Heavyweight Title would be up for grabs the
following night in Cardiff, Wales and that the winner of the Last Man
Standing Riot Match would be declared the new NWA-UK Junior Heavyweight
Champion.
Wednesday October 27th in Cardiff, Wales
saw Psycho Steve crowned the NWA-UK Junior Heavyweight Champion as he was
victorious in the Last Man Standing Riot Match. Hugh Mungus was as mean as
ever. NWA Irelands
Chamera impressed again in a mixed tag team match as did the rest of the NWA Ireland
team that were in action. Jetta also impressed. Adam Abz again retained the
NWA Ireland
Heavyweight Title over Cardiff’s
own Caiman in a hard fought match. Paul Tracey held onto his NWA-UK
Heavyweight Title over Danny Williams with some help from his tag team
partner Fergal Devitt. Fergal Devitt also had a great night in Cardiff –
Devitt who was accompanied by Tracey challenged ‘Son of Abdullah’ for the NWA
British Commonwealth Title in an Anything Goes Match. After a long brawl
throughout the venue Fergal Devitt pinned ‘Son of Abdullah’ to become the new
NWA British Commonwealth Champion. This
rounded off a great few days for the self proclaimed ‘Irelands
Greatest Ever Tag Team’ with both Paul Tracey and Fergal Devitt now both
holding singles titles.
Friday October 29th say us return to Mote Park Leisure Centre in
Maidstone, Kent. In a Submission Match, Americas
Jack Thriller overcame Danny Garnell. Fergal Devitt retained the NWA British
Commonwealth Title over Danny Williams and Psycho Steve
also retained his NWA-UK Junior Heavyweight title. Chamera and Sean ‘Maxer’
Brennan overcame JP Monroe and Jezebel in Mixed Tag Action. ‘Son of Abdullah’
defeated Paul Tracey in an Anything Goes Match to become the new NWA-UK
Hammerlock Heavyweight Champion. There was a clause in the contract however
that if ‘Son of Abdullah’ was victorious he had to give Tracey a rematch the
following night at the Stour Centre in
Ashford,
Kent.
However ‘Son of Abdullah’ was already booked to take on Tracey’s tag team
partner Fergal Devitt at Ashford for the NWA British Commonwealth Title and
was booked to take on Psycho Steve on the last night of the tour in Steve’s
hometown of Rugby in Warwickshire. Tracey and Devitt claimed that ‘Son of
Abdullah’ would have to wrestle twice the next night in Ashford. However the
new NWA-UK Champion responded that rather than wrestle twice that he would
take the Irish team on in a 2 on 1 Handicap Match in a ‘Winner Takes All
Match’ – if ‘S.O.A.’ pinned either Devitt or Tracey he won the NWA British Commonwealth
Title but if Devitt or Tracey pinned ‘S.O.A.’, the Irish Team would not only
have Devitt’s NWA British Commonwealth Title, but also they would have the
NWA-UK Hammerlock Heavyweight Title back in their camp. The Irish accepted
these stipulations and the match was on for Ashford the following night. In
1995 Andre ‘Sledgehammer’ Baker battled Dan ‘The Beast’ Severn in New Jersey,
USA, for the NWA World Heavyweight Title – in the main event at our recent
show in Maidstone one of Baker’s top talents squared off against one of
Severn’s top talents when ‘Vigilante’ Johnny Moss battled CJ Otis. After a
hard fought match it was Moss that emerged victorious. Finally at Maidstone
Exodus won a Last Man Standing Riot Match.
On a busy night at the Stour Centre in
Ashford,
Kent -
Psycho Steve retained his NWA-UK Junior Heavyweight Title over Paul Fury.
Paul Vault battled Jack Thriller and CJ Otis squared off against Peter Jay in
a Submission Match. Zack Zabre Jr was in mixed tag action teaming with
Chamera against the team of Black Widow and Devilman. Zack and Chamera were
victorious. ‘Vigilante’ Johnny Moss defeated Sean ‘Maxer’ Brennan. In an
Anything Goes 2 on 1 Winner Takes all Handicap Match with both the NWA-UK
Hammerlock Heavyweight title and the NWA British Commonwealth Title on the
line ‘Son of Abdullah’ overcame Paul Tracey and Fergal Devitt when he pinned
the then NWA British Commonwealth Champion – Fergal Devitt to hold both
belts. There was a clause with the NWA-UK Hammerlock Heavyweight Title however
that ‘S.O.A’ had to give either Tracey or Devitt a NWA-UK Hammerlock Title
rematch within 30 days. ‘S.O.A.’ was booked to take on Psycho Steve on the
final night of the tour and was then scheduled to leave the UK and wrestle in
Australia so he since he was unable to defend the title within the designated
30 days, Tracey and Devitt demanded that ‘Son of Abdullah’ be stripped of the
NWA-UK Hammerlock Heavyweight Title. Referee Mike Hunter obliged and stripped
‘S.O.A.’ of the title and took the Championship belt from him leaving the
Ashford audience very unhappy at the outcome. Exodus again won the Last Man
Standing Riot Match at Ashford last eliminating Jekkyl.
The final night of the tour say us at the Benn Hall in Rugby, Warwickshire –
Following intense discussions the Irish Team put Fergal Devitt forward as the
Number One Contender for the NWA-UK Hammerlock Heavyweight Title. The NWA-UK
Office decided that the Number Two Contender for the belt was ‘Vigilante’
Johnny Moss. The two battled for the title with Moss emerging victorious and
leaving Rugby the new NWA-UK Hammerlock
Heavyweight Champion. ‘Son of Abdullah’ retained his British
Commonwealth Title when he beat Psycho Steve in an
Anything Goes Match. Exodus suffered a broken collar bone in his match with
Jack Thriller. Sean ‘Maxer’ Brennan lost out to CJ Otis in a Submission
Match. Hugh Mungus Battled Paul Vault. In Mixed Tag Action Chamera, Blaze and
Danny Williams overcame Jetta, Black Widow and Danny ‘Renegade Angel’
Butler.
Psycho Steve returned to win the Last Man Standing Riot Match to send his
hometown crowd home happy.
NWA-UK Hammerlock Wrestling would like to thank all of our fans who attended
our shows during the tour and we look forward to seeing you all again in the
very near future.
Back on
TV
NWA UK Hammerlock's very own
wrestling and martial arts expert Sledgehammer Andre Baker who was at one
time regularly seen on TV on various programmes featuring himself, Hammerlock
or his protégés has after a lengthy absence due to injury returned to our TV
screens in style, two very popular national programmes to be precise, he and
Gravesend based star Gary Steele along with various other Hammerlock stars
and trainees from Hammerlock Wrestling's Sittingbourne training facility are
featured in an edition of "Ultimate Warriors" series which was
aired again last week, the series is being aired several times over on Bravo
during the year and also features Dan "The Beast" Severn and Terry
Funk.
In addition Andre is also featured on the
Channel 4 series "That'll Teach Em" where he trains the unruly
bunch of lads who are living school life as it would of been if they were
attending school in the sixties, unfortunately on the day of the competition
the health and safety consultant would only allow the lads to do groundwork
so the competition had to be ground fighting only which meant that the
training footage which included a lot of throws etc was not shown which was a
great pity as there were some very funny and dramatic footage filmed during
the training sessions
Both programmes are very popular and attract
good viewing figures, further details can be obtained by visiting the channel
4 website at www.channel4.com

Devitt and Tracey to Canada, then back to the United Kingdom this coming
October.
Paul Tracey and Fergal
Devitt will once again be travelling across the Atlantic
this coming October. This time however they are heading for Canada.
‘Irelands Greatest Ever Tag Team’ as they
constantly refer to themselves when teaming on the NWA-UK Hammerlock circuit
will be heading for Quebec where they will spend four days touring with ‘Son
of Abdullah’ Dru Onyx, wrestling on shows for Canadian Independent Promotions
and also running Professional Wrestling Training Seminars at Dru Onyx’s
Training School.
Following on from this they will head
straight to Winnipeg,
Manitoba
where they will wrestle on the NWA 56th Anniversary Show which is
being hosted by Ernie Todd and NWA/CWF. The NWA Anniversary Shows and
Convention run through the weekend of October 15th - 17th. Tracey and Devitt
will then fly directly back to the United
Kingdom where they will take part
in NWA-UK Hammerlocks October Tour starting on October 19th and finishing on
October 31st.
Although Fergal and Paul have been at the
last two NWA Anniversary Shows in Corpus Christi, Texas and Parkersburg, West
Virginia, this will be the first time they will be competing as a tag team at
an NWA Anniversary Show. On previous Anniversary Shows they have both
wrestled NWA/CWF star Spyder for the British Commonwealth
Title. Their only previous appearance as a tag team in the USA was on an
independent show in Oakhill, West Virginia where they defeated the team of
Muscles Mansfield and former NWA World Junior Heavyweight Champion Vinnie
‘Star’ Viagra after hitting their front slam/dropkick combination on Vinnie
Viagra.
Morrow and O’Rourke also to Canada.
Devitt and Traceys opponents
at this years NWA Anniversary Show will be none other than NWA Irelands Carl
‘Shooter’ O’ Rourke and Paddy ‘Suicide Machine’ Morrow.
Both Carl and Paddy have been making great
names for themselves on the NWA Ireland
circuit recently with great performances on recent shows. Thet have both also
been impressing people with good solid performances on NWA-UK Hammerlock
Shows in England.
Most recently on June 19th at the Stour Centre in Ashford, Kent in a
NWA-UK V NWA Ireland Card, O’Rourke reached the final of a King
of the Ring Tournament where he narrowly lost to ‘World Class Athlete’ Paul
Vault. On the same card Morrow was in an Eight Man NWA-UK V NWA
Ireland Tag Team Match when he teamed with NWA Irelands Phil ‘The Thrill’
Boyd, Danny ‘Renegade Angel’ Butler and Paul Fury against the NWA-UK team of
Tank, Danny Williams, David Deville and Zack Zabre Jr.. Prior to this event
O’Rourke was last wrestling in the UK
on NWA-UK Hammerlocks Live Event in Cardiff
on June 5th while Morrow was on NWA-UK Hammerlocks Live Event in
Margate,
Kent on
April 19th.
Both Carl and Paddy are looking forward to
travelling to Canada
this coming October and all at NWA Ireland
wish them well. This will undoubtedly be their first trip of many to compete
across the Atlantic.
Back on TV
There will also be an NWA-UK
Hammerlock match at this years Anniversary Show. Former NWA-UK Hammerlock
Heavyweight Champion ‘Vigilante’ Johnny Moss will take on up and coming young
British star Byron Black. Moss who has wrestled in the USA

Paratrooper
returns from Iraq War To Wrestle Gangsters
NWA (UK) Hammerlock wrestler
Stevie Majors is making his long awaited return to the ring after returning
from fierce front line action in Iraq as a member of the elite Parachute
regiment.
Stevie's eagerly awaited come back is being
sponsored by none other than infamous bad boy celebrity gangster Dave
Courtney. Earlier this month Stevie was taken to visit Dave Courtney by his
good friend and mentor Andre Baker, during the meeting Baker explained the
situation to Mr Courtney, who being Fiercely patriotic and whose own house is
decorated with war memorabilia past and present was only to willing to help.
Whilst there Courtney made available a few
of his doorman for Stevie to spar with under the expert guidance of Baker a
holder of black belts in eight different martial arts.
Starting wrestling at the young age of
fourteen Stevie enjoyed much success before putting his dream on hold to
follow in his grandfathers footsteps and serve with the elite Parachute
regiment. When returning from the war the flame was reignited and is now
burning brighter than ever. Lee is hoping that the fierce grit and never say
die attitude that the rest of the paratroopers used to maximum effect during
the second Gulf war will carry over in to the squared circle this time round.

NWA Ireland and NWA (UK) Hammerlock
Contingent return from USA
Paul Tracey, Fergal Devitt
and Muscles Mansfield, along with 'Vigilante' Johnny Moss and Beautiful Benny
B in a non-wrestling capacity, recently returned from Parkersburg, West
Virginia, USA where they were for the NWA 55th Anniversary Shows and
Convention.
On the Friday Night Show Fergal Devitt was robbed of a victory by Spyder in a
match to determine the British Commonwealth
Champion. Spyder who defeated Paul Tracey for the same title at last years
Anniversary Show was very lucky to leave with the Championship and needed the
help of a dubious decision of a Canadian referee from his home promotion
NWA/CWF to beat Fergal Devitt. Both Paul Tracey and Fergal Devitt complained
about the outcome to NWA/CWF promoter Ernie Todd at the commentary table the

NWA Ireland on Irish National
Television
Saturday October 11th saw
the National Television Debut of NWA Ireland.
On the Network 2 Saturday morning programme 'Sattitude' brought to the
airwaves the latest match in the long running feud between 'The Inve$tment'
Ross Browne and Beautiful Benny B. In a very entertaining match 'The
Inve$tment' got the win leaving this feud set at two victories a piece. This
feud will no doubt continue at upcoming NWA Ireland
live events. The ratings for the NWA Ireland
segments on the TV show were reportedly good and who knows - the door may be
open for NWA Ireland
to return to National Television in the not too distant future. Stay tuned !
